We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Forklift Operator, you will be instrumental in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your main responsibility will be to operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport goods within the warehouse, ensuring timely movement of materials to and from production, loading docks, train cars, or storage areas. This role requires a high degree of attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key player in maintaining the flow of inventory and supporting the overall efficiency of our distribution operations. This position demands physical stamina and the ability to operate machinery with precision. We pride ourselves on our safety culture, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is non-negotiable. The job involves frequent lifting of items and requires a steady hand for maneuvering loads. Experience with various types of forklifts is highly desirable. You will work closely with warehouse associates and supervisors to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time. Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management systems is beneficial. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through system updates.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Use appropriate PPE during all operational tasks.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Ensure the safe handling and stacking of all materials.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
- Must possess a strong commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
