Our dynamic distribution center in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our essential logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. The ideal candidate is certified, safety-conscious, and experienced in navigating a busy warehouse environment. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, facilitating inbound and outbound shipments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain. We are committed to a safe working environment and require adherence to all safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves frequent Lifting and requires precision.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Transport inventory to and from various warehouse locations, including staging and storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure aisles are clear.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear required PPE at all times in operational areas.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the facility.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling products manually.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours if needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of appropriate PPE for forklift operations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving within the logistics framework.
