We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Columbus, Ohio facility. This role is critical to our warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and inventory. You will operate forklifts to transport goods, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and stage merchandise securely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and warehouse procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
- Must be able to perform lifting of items up to 50 lbs when not operating equipment.
- Follow all logistics and material handling best practices.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of one year of experience. You must have a strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires alertness, good hand-eye coordination, and the physical ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional lifting.
