We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse and supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading materials, moving inventory between different areas of the facility, and organizing stock. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you must consistently follow all company safety protocols and wear the required PPE. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Use equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks to move inventory efficiently.
- Stack, arrange, and organize materials in a safe and orderly manner.
- Assist with put-away processes and ensure accurate placement of items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, adhering to housekeeping standards.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or potential safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures diligently, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Support inventory control by ensuring materials are handled correctly and accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to achieve daily operational goals within the logistics department.
- Perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ensure all movements of materials comply with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Must be physically capable of performing tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 60 pounds), bending, standing, and walking for extended periods. Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. A strong understanding of safe lifting techniques and material handling practices is required. Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and consistently wearing appropriate PPE. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately. Familiarity with basic warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial. Good teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
Working Conditions:
This role operates in a warehouse environment where exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels may occur. Continuous adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the consistent use of provided PPE. The job requires regular physical exertion and proper technique for lifting and moving materials within our logistics operations.
