Join our vibrant logistics team in Miami, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk! We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual to manage the critical process of receiving incoming goods. This role is the gateway to our inventory and plays a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading shipments, carefully inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and accurately documenting all received products using our inventory system. You will liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve any issues promptly. Maintaining a clean and safe receiving area is also a key responsibility. We emphasize a strong safety culture, and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires the ability to perform lifting tasks, with the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Efficiently unload inbound freight from trucks.
- Inspect received goods for quality and quantity accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record all incoming inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Identify, document, and report any damages or discrepancies.
- Stage goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a tidy and safe receiving dock area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Follow all established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure consistent use of required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and inventory management software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capability to perform lifting duties up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
