We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our busy logistics center in Dallas, Texas. In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming goods, ensuring that they are accurately received, inspected, and recorded. Your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities include unloading delivery vehicles, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips, identifying damages or discrepancies, and accurately entering receiving data into our inventory management system. You will work closely with suppliers, warehouse staff, and procurement teams to resolve any receiving-related issues. A commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of PPE, is essential. The role may involve lifting items, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain and contribute to our commitment to operational excellence in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Inspect goods for damage and verify contents against documentation (PO, packing slip).
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Segregate and stage incoming goods for distribution within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Coordinate with suppliers and carriers regarding inbound shipments.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize required PPE during all tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a related role.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, particularly inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
