We are hiring a dedicated Picker/Packer to support our bustling warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is central to our ability to deliver products to our customers swiftly and accurately. Your primary responsibilities will involve accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse locations using order lists or RF scanners, and then carefully packaging these items for shipment. This requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and prevent fulfillment errors. You will be involved in quality control checks, ensuring that picked items meet standards before being prepared for dispatch. Maintaining a safe and orderly work environment is crucial, and strict adherence to safety protocols, including the mandated use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. The ideal candidate will be energetic, possess good hand-eye coordination, and be able to handle the physical demands of the job, which may include frequent lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Pack items using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for outbound shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking and packing station.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and maintain required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Achieve performance targets for picking and packing efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment role is a plus.
- Ability to interpret pick lists and product information.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- Capacity for lifting up to 50 lbs.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and using PPE.
