We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin! In this role, you will be a key player in our order fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive their correct items quickly and accurately. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from shelves using an order list and then carefully packing them for shipment. This position demands efficiency, precision, and a strong focus on quality. You'll work within a team-oriented environment that values collaboration and continuous improvement in our logistics operations. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Proper handling of merchandise and adherence to safety standards are critical components of this job. This role involves frequent lifting and movement of goods, so physical stamina is essential. You will be trained on our systems and expected to follow all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order specifications.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and assemble boxes.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking or packing experience is an advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability for lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
