We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for ensuring all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for delivery. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our distribution operations. You will work closely with warehouse staff, carriers, and customer service to ensure seamless order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to safety. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping labels, verifying package contents against orders, and coordinating with transportation providers. You will also maintain shipping records and logs, troubleshoot any shipping discrepancies, and assist in inventory management as needed. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced logistics environment. We require all employees to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process all outgoing shipments.
- Generate shipping labels and complete necessary documentation.
- Verify package contents against order pick lists for accuracy.
- Coordinate with freight carriers and schedule pickups.
- Maintain organized shipping records and update tracking information.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
