We are seeking an energetic Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is key to our operations, ensuring efficient handling of goods from arrival to dispatch. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will contribute to the seamless flow of our logistics network, making sure orders are processed accurately and on time. Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive merchandise, verifying quantities and condition against documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with high accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts (if certified) and pallet jacks.
- Organize and maintain inventory within the distribution center.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Load trucks for outgoing deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational status.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves demanding physical tasks including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions. We emphasize the importance of correct lifting techniques and provide thorough training to ensure associate safety.
Safety and PPE:
Your safety is our priority. All associates are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots. Comprehensive safety training is provided, covering hazard awareness and proper equipment operation within our logistics facility. Following all safety guidelines is a condition of employment.
