We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining workflow and ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient inventory management and order fulfillment. Your attention to detail and commitment to Safety will be paramount in this position. We emphasize the importance of proper PPE and adherence to all operational guidelines. This is a physically demanding role that requires focus and precision. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct daily pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including proper handling of materials and pedestrian traffic.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking or stocking.
- Adhere to all company policies, including mandatory use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
