We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on efficient and safe handling of materials within the warehouse environment, ensuring the smooth flow of goods for our logistics operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Attention to detail is crucial for accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move pallets, cases, and other materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Comply with all OSHA and company-specific safety standards.
- Experience with different types of forklifts is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
