Join our team in Portland, Oregon, as an Inventory Clerk and take ownership of maintaining accurate stock levels within our warehouse. This critical role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to organizational excellence. As an Inventory Clerk, you will be responsible for tracking, recording, and managing inventory data, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your accuracy will directly impact our ability to serve our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Generate inventory reports as required by management.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock or excess inventory.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Identify damaged or expired stock and follow established procedures for disposition.
- Support the logistics team by providing accurate inventory information.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Knowledge of general warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
