We are looking for a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Provo, Utah. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, packaged, and dispatched in a timely manner. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical to maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will work closely with the shipping team, carriers, and other departments to guarantee customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards and carrier requirements.
- Verify shipping information and product details against order documentation.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure accurate documentation is attached to each package.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and shrink wrap machines.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Comply with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and contribute to a culture of safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving some Lifting (up to 30 lbs) and manual dexterity.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and committed to meeting deadlines.
