We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to support our dynamic logistics operations in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your key responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move inventory, load and unload trucks, and organize stock. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring accuracy in our inventory management. A commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential. We offer comprehensive training on equipment operation, warehouse procedures, and safety best practices to ensure your success.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport inventory to and from storage locations within the warehouse.
- Organize and maintain warehouse stock accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures for logistics operations.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock takes.
- Ensure the work area remains clean and orderly.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational demands.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role required.
- Forklift certification is mandatory.
- Proficiency in operating various types of industrial equipment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety protocols and logistics principles.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must wear all required PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
