We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic logistics team in the heart of New York City. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order lists, carefully packing items for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. This role demands a strong commitment to efficiency and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to the overall smooth operation of the warehouse. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors in order fulfillment. We value teamwork and encourage open communication among all team members. Regular training will be provided to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest warehousing techniques and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated locations according to order tickets.
- Inspect items for quality and ensure they meet shipping standards.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, utilizing appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to handle lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles is beneficial.
