We are searching for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced logistics facility in Tampa, Florida. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our automated systems, and assisting with general warehouse duties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. You will play a vital part in minimizing downtime and optimizing the performance of our distribution center. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in maintenance or technical support within a warehouse environment. You will work closely with the operations team to ensure all equipment, from forklifts to conveyor systems, is in top working condition. We value problem-solvers and individuals who take pride in their work. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and logistics processes is essential. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies are encouraged. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Must be comfortable with regular lifting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Inspect equipment for potential problems and proactively address them.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Operate various types of warehouse equipment as needed.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring operational readiness.
- Must be comfortable performing lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of required PPE.
- Conduct safety checks on equipment and work areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical role within a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
