Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and pallet jacks.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with warehouse machinery.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and the use of PPE.
  • Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Assist warehouse staff with operational tasks as needed, particularly those involving equipment.
  • Practice safe lifting techniques when moving parts or equipment.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in the warehouse.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a maintenance role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if necessary.
