In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct repairs on various pieces of machinery and warehouse systems. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and pallet jacks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with warehouse machinery.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the warehouse environment.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper lockout/tagout procedures and the use of PPE.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
- Assist warehouse staff with operational tasks as needed, particularly those involving equipment.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when moving parts or equipment.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement in the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical systems is a strong plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a maintenance role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if necessary.
