Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
- Process receipts, put-aways, picks, and shipments accurately in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, management, and other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure the proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and discrepancies.
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment, including proper handling and storage practices and the use of PPE.
- Assist with receiving and shipping functions as needed, ensuring accuracy.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
