We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a warehouse environment. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient inventory management and ensuring the smooth flow of goods throughout the distribution center. Your primary focus will be on safe and accurate handling of materials, contributing to overall operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to pick and place pallets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers as needed.
- Perform daily inspections of the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Safely navigate warehouse aisles and perform tasks such as palletizing and shrink-wrapping.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and PPE.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Reach Truck Operator with valid certification.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving significant lifting and material handling.
