We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This vital role ensures the accurate and timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments, playing a key part in our overall logistics chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a meticulous approach to work, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, managing documentation, and ensuring that all shipments meet quality and accuracy standards. Your contribution is essential to our operational success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and process all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Maintain organized records of all shipments and inventory movements.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
- Ensure the dock area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE diligently.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Capable of performing moderate Lifting of packages up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with logistics documentation and shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Must wear and maintain all required PPE.
