Your role will involve retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists, ensuring the correct product and quantity. You will be responsible for managing your picking route to maximize productivity while adhering to all safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting. Experience with RF scanning technology is a significant advantage. You will need to be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout your shift. Safety is our highest priority, and adherence to all company policies regarding safe lifting techniques and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select products from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or electronic orders.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Use RF scanners or other handheld devices to track picked items and update inventory.
- Transport picked goods to the packing or staging area using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring all picked items are staged correctly.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting, equipment operation, and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in packing and shipping departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items encountered during the picking process.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret picking instructions accurately.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Understanding of warehouse logistics and safety procedures, including the importance of PPE.
