Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of inventory.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to prevent obsolescence.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with operations teams to optimize warehouse layout and storage utilization.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory locations and product integrity.
- Champion safety initiatives and ensure compliance with PPE requirements and safe lifting practices within the inventory control area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks as needed, including occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding and adherence to workplace safety regulations, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
