- 21:00 Reporting to: Planning & Transport Manager Linkedskills Expert Talent Solutions is partnering with a well-established client in the logistics and freight sector to recruit a Planner (Evening Shift) for their busy operations team in North Dublin.
About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive, and customer-focused professional to join a fast-paced planning environment.
Reporting directly to the Planning & Transport Manager, the successful candidate will provide full-time support to a busy evening planning team, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, strong service delivery, and an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities Manage logistics administration, supplier communication, and procurement documentation Communicate effectively with the customer service team and other internal departments Process order placement and shipment bookings accurately Maintain the flow of relevant operational information across the business Agree on delivery schedules with customers and assist with general customer queries Plan daily volumes effectively to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded Liaise closely with hauliers to ensure service standards are maintained Support efficient freight planning to maximise vehicle utilisation, service levels, and profitability Update in-house systems and maintain accurate records of all activities Complete administrative duties, including investigating, sourcing, processing, and inputting information into reports in a timely and efficient manner Resolve service-related issues and queries in a proactive and professional way Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects Comply fully with company health and safety policies and procedures Assist with other planning-related functions and project work as required Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: Fluent in written and spoken English Strong numeracy, literacy, and Microsoft Office skills 1-2 years experience in a similar role, ideally within freight forwarding or logistics Previous office administration experience in a fast-paced team environment Knowledge of the logistics or freight industry would be a strong advantage Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience working to KPIs and achieving performance targets A positive, can-do attitude with a strong willingness to learn and contribute A professional approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team Whats on Offer Competitive salary, depending on experience Permanent contract 21 days annual leave, with up to 2 additional days after 12 months service Company pension Employee Assistance Programme Free on-site parking Opportunity for hybrid working following successful completion of probation Career progression opportunities A positive and supportive office environment How to Apply To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter to Linkedskills Expert Talent Solutions, quoting your full name and the role title in the subject line.
