Construction Safety Manager

Location: Fairfax, IA
Duration: 6 Months (Start: 3/23)
Type: 1099 Contractor

• Hourly Rate: $52.50/hr
• Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly
• Schedule: 60hrs/week | Monday-Sat | 10s | OT after 40

The construction safety manager will oversee safety for an electrical contractor on a new build data center

Must have:

• BCSP: CHST
• OSHA 30
• Must have Strong electrical experience and data center experience

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Monitor OSHA compliance
• Daily safety reports
• Track workforce safety compliance
• Maintain safety logs and compliance records
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
• They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
