Progress Industries is looking for a Staff Training Coordinator Assistant who enjoys helping others learn, grow, and succeed. In this role, you will work closely with our Training & Development Specialist to support staff training programs that prepare employees to confidentiality deliver high-quality services to the individuals we support.

Overview
As the Staff Training Coordinator, you will help strengthen staff knowledge and skills by supporting onboarding, training, and ongoing development programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with teaching classes and facilitating staff training sessions.
  • Support follow-up training, refreshers, and skill development.
  • Assist with classroom, lab, and site-based training activities.
  • Observe on-site training to promote proper techniques and best practices.
  • Help identify employees who demonstrate strong mentoring potential.
  • Support HR and managers with onboarding and training new employees.
  • Conduct staff observations to reinforce procedures and quality standards.
  • Track training completion and maintain accurate training records.
  • Assist with medication documentation reviews and compliance checks.
  • Help prepare training documentation and support audit readiness.
  • Identify training gaps and communicate improvement opportunities.
  • Provide coaching support when performance or compliance issues arise.
  • Work closely with the Training & Development Specialist and site managers.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and helping other succeed.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in HCBS residential setting.
  • Experience support or facilitating staff training (preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff in a supportive way.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation systems.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record. (required)
  • Reliable vehicle for travel between Newton and Des Moines locations.
  • Liability insurance meeting required coverage levels.
  • Ability to attend and complete required trainings.
