Our busy logistics hub in Atlanta, Georgia is looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage outgoing shipments. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying order details, preparing shipping documentation, packaging orders, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely dispatch. Accuracy and efficiency are key in this role to maintain our high standards of customer service. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be involved in preparing shipments of various sizes and weights, which may include significant lifting. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities include: Preparing and processing shipping labels and documentation, Accurately picking and packing orders for shipment, Verifying order accuracy against shipping manifests, Coordinating with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries, Maintaining organized and well-stocked shipping supplies, Tracking shipments and resolving any shipping discrepancies, Operating shipping software and equipment, Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations, Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
