Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded software for manufacturing equipment and control systems. Integrate hardware and software components, ensuring seamless functionality and reliability in production environments. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems on the production line, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Optimize existing embedded systems for performance, efficiency, and robustness in high-volume manufacturing processes. Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators used in automated assembly and testing. Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to define system requirements and ensure manufacturability. Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals for embedded systems. Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded software development. Demonstrated experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and their peripherals. Working knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) like FreeRTOS or Zephyr. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT). Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET). Familiarity with PLC programming or integration with industrial control systems. Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT). Experience with manufacturing test fixture development and automation.
