We hold multiple team and company-wide offsite meetings to foster collaboration and alignment, and your presence is both expected and fully supported. As a vital part of the team, you will take charge of all aspects related to user identity at Coinbase, including login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication. The Horizontal Frontend team within the Identity organization is dedicated to developing and maintaining the user interface that facilitates these critical interactions. You’ll collaborate closely with backend teams to create seamless, scalable, and dependable user experiences. In addition, you will play a key role in transitioning main frontend views to React Native, aiming for a unified codebase across platforms. We’re also focused on multi-user and multi-organization support to enable our products to adapt and scale for businesses and organizations. What You Will Do: Develop and enhance user interfaces for login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-user/multi-organization features.
Contribute to the transition of core frontend views to React Native for a coherent codebase across various platforms.
Design and build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces utilizing modern technologies like React and TypeScript.
Work closely with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to convert technical and product visions into actionable roadmaps.
Ensure low latency and high reliability of the frontend surfaces to deliver a world-class user experience.
Create high-quality, well-tested code that addresses the needs of Coinbase's expanding user base.
What We Are Looking For: At least 2+ years of experience in frontend software engineering.
Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production-grade frontend systems.
Proficient in modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code for your customers.
A fervent interest in creating an inclusive financial system that connects the world.
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with React Native or transitioning web views to mobile platforms.
Experience in a company growth journey from startup to mid-size.
Knowledge of authentication, identity, or security domains.
Proficiency in optimizing frontend performance for low-latency and high-reliability systems.
Experience with crypto, including familiarity with Ethereum addresses, ENS, and interactions with decentralized applications (dApps).
Job #: P75264 Pay Transparency Notice : The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $152,405 to $179,300 USD, depending on your work location. Full-time offers from Coinbase include bonus eligibility, equity options, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
