Lead Cyber Security Engineer Join Cooley's Security team as a Lead Cyber Security Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our technological assets. As a key player, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing the security systems and practices that protect our firm. Position Summary:
In this role, you will maintain and monitor the security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with Firm policies and procedures. Your technical expertise will be key to our operational success. Below are the core responsibilities of the position: Analyze and monitor security reports and logs for suspicious activities, focusing on web filters, mail gateways, firewalls, encryption, anti-malware systems, and IDS/IPS. Administer and configure security solutions utilized throughout the Firm. Oversee firewalls, VPN, privileged access management (PAM), data loss prevention, EDR, and SIEM systems. Collaborate with the Incident Response team to address alerts, incidents, and help desk tickets under the guidance of the Cyber Security Manager. Engage in troubleshooting cyber security issues, ensuring effective management of security vendor relationships. Contribute your expertise as a technical resource on Technology and Innovation projects. Conduct risk and security assessments on products as directed by management. Propose controls to meet the firm's information security objectives. Monitor security metrics, system logs, and network monitoring systems. Conduct internal investigations involving forensic analysis when required. Address audit findings as directed. Evaluate and recommend third-party security vendors and products. Perform additional tasks as necessary. Skills and Experience: Required: Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, iManage, and other essential applications post-orientation. Availability for extended hours and travel as needed. 5+ years of progressive experience in information security with demonstrated autonomy and responsibility. A strong foundational knowledge of cyber security technologies. Hands-on experience with: Active Directory Firewalls Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Web filter/proxy technologies Encryption technologies Vulnerability scanners Data loss prevention Email gateways and anti-spam systems Privileged account management SIEM solutions AWS and Azure Cloud Services Participation in a 7x24 on-call rotation. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Information Systems. CISSP or equivalent certifications. Experience with specific products such as: Palo Alto Networks Firewalls Tenable Vulnerability Scanner VMware Cyberhaven DLP Proofpoint Email Gateway Forensic Tools S/MIME email encryption Delina Secret Server Crowdstrike Google SecOps SIEM Two-factor authentication technologies Penetration testing tools Patch management solutions. The expected annual salary range for this position is $145,000 - $210,000, based on experience and skill level.
