This position will be a hybrid position or remote in that it will require an individual to also be responsible for the delivery of Quality Assurance best practices for Meduit. This BA/QA position will focus on a variety of responsibilities, which are part of our Agile development cycle. You will contribute to a high quality, end user experience, to isolate any issues so that the focus can be on patient care.
Essential Job Functions for the Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst:
This role includes, but is not limited to the following activities:
User, workflow, industry, and product research and analysis
Providing continuous improvement ideas based off the analysis
Writing user stories with proper acceptance criteria and understanding the criteria with the ability to translate those criteria to the development team
Leading ticket review and pointing sessions
Creating and maintaining documentation of the product and processes
Assisting with planning and backlog management using Jira
Communicating with the business to provide updates and gather feedback
Monitoring daily file imports/exports and promptly communicating issues
Guiding the team through the Agile transformation
Developing and executing test plans that will put our products through rigorous unit and production level tests
Writes, executes and maintains test automation; acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) experience is a plus.
Develops quality assurance standards; adheres to and promotes quality standards.
Defines, tracks and reports quality assurance metrics such as defect recidivism, defect densities and open defect counts. Competencies:
Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management - Insurance Domain, primarily claims and denials, is a plus
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Think outside the box mindset to provide ideas and solutions
Develop documentation for current and new features
Maintain release notes hosted within SharePoint
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst:
In order to perform this role successfully, the
Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst
needs to have the following skills and experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer testing software
Minimum of 1 year healthcare revenue cycle experience
Experience using Jira to manage work items, backlogs, and sprints
Exceptional user story writing skills, including breaking down larger work items into smaller pieces
1-2 years in an Agile SCRUM environment
Strong technical understanding, focusing on SQL (MySQL)
The willingness and capability to learn and understand new technologies
Capable of working independently
Fast paced and a multitasker
Experience with RPA is a bonus, but not required
