*Job Summary*
Column Case Management LLC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our organization’s databases to ensure seamless data flow and high performance. Your expertise will support critical business operations by implementing robust database solutions, ensuring data integrity, and enhancing system availability. *Database Management*: Administer and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability for mission-critical applications.
*Replication Expertise*: Configure and manage PostgreSQL replication (streaming, logical, and physical) to ensure data consistency, failover, and disaster recovery.
*Performance Optimization*: Monitor and tune database performance using tools like pg\_stat\_statements, EXPLAIN, and indexing strategies to optimize query execution.
*High Availability*: Implement and maintain HA solutions such as failover clusters, pgpool-II to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
*Backup and Recovery*: Design and execute backup strategies using tools like pg\_dump, pg\_basebackup, and PITR (Point-in-Time Recovery) to safeguard data integrity.
*Troubleshooting*: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including replication lag, deadlocks, and performance bottlenecks, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
*Monitoring and Alerts*: Set up and manage monitoring tools (e.g., pgAdmin, Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively track database health, replication status, and performance metrics.
*Upgrades and Migrations*: Plan and execute PostgreSQL version upgrades and database migrations with minimal downtime, ensuring compatibility with replication setups.
*Collaboration*: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments, schema changes, and capacity planning.
*Experience*
* Looking for someone that has a minimum of 2 Years of Proven experience in database administration across multiple platforms including MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, with a focus on performance tuning and high availability configurations.
* Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting for automation and system management.
* Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS for data integration tasks.
* Expertise in SQL programming, PL/SQL development, and database design principles.
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex database issues quickly while maintaining data security standards.
* Familiarity with scripting languages used for automation in a Unix/Linux environment is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
