Responsibilities & Qualifications
We are seeking a
Cloud Solutions Architect
to join our team supporting a program that provides technical services for system development and lifecycle maintenance of an AWS-based microservices-based system, along with supporting legacy systems and databases.
These systems provide efficient, reliable, and secure IT solutions to receive, consolidate, and distribute information in coordination with federal partners. Overall contract support consists of O&M, Help Desk, DevOps, Program Management, and software development. The primary place of performance will be at Government facilities in Winchester, VA with telework options. However, this person will be expected to report on-site to the Winchester, VA and/or Washington, DC location as needed and requested by the Government for meetings, after hours support, deployments, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience with at least three years of experience working with government Amazon Web Services (AWS) SC2S and C2S enclaves
Able to design automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable microservices, leading development teams, ensuring security measures are in place within the microservices' design, conducting meetings and presentations with Government stakeholders and leadership.
Have experience with programming (C#, Java, and Python), containerization for managing the deployment of microservices (Kubernetes and Docker), Cloud development (AWS), and a robust understanding of microservices development and best practices.
Experience using the Agile framework
Clearance
Active Top Secret security clearance
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cloud Solutions Architect supports an AWS database.
Develops strategies for cloud-based platforms.
Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
Develops and designs solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.
Acts as highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
Lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.
