Traditional credit was built for people who already have money. Requirements for credit history, collateral, and costly underwriting create insurmountable barriers for those who need capital most. Over 1.4 billion people lack access to credit. A vendor in Lagos earns cash daily but can't prove a steady income. A Colombian nurse with years of perfect informal repayments remains invisible to banks. We built an alternative called Credit. Since December 2024, it has issued over one million undercollateralized loans using stablecoins. People from around the world have used these loans to pay for things like groceries, medicine, and transportation. Backed by $6.6 million from Paradigm and Nascent, we're scaling a system that has already reached more than 900,000 unique borrowers. Help us take it to the next level. About the Role
We seek a talented data scientist to expand our data infrastructure and drive insights across our products, including Credit, our leading undercollateralized lending system. You'll design key metrics, develop analytics infrastructure, and transform onchain data into strategic insights that shape product and roadmap decisions. This role is based in San Francisco, California. We work in a hybrid model, with the team in office three days per week. Stack

Work with product and research teams to design north star metrics Build data pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and dashboards Transform key metrics and trends into actionable guidance for product, roadmap, and GTM Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments Conduct in-depth analyses of user behavior and usage patterns Monitor credit risk metrics and portfolio performance to improve fraud and underwiting models Requirements
4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Research Analyst Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive initiatives independently Nice to Have
Proficiency with data visualization platforms such as Grafana, Metabase, Dune, Prometheus, etc. Experience building large-scale data pipelines and B2C financial products that real consumers use Experience working in emerging markets, ideally on products that serve everyday financial needs Strong understanding of DeFi protocol mechanics (lending, yield vaults, ERC4626, etc.) Experience with TypeScript and React-based frameworks Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward action; you've thrived in a startup environment or a larger org with a strong startup ethos Divine Research is an equal opportunity employer.
