Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Material Handler to join our Los Angeles, California logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our distribution center. Your efficiency and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You will operate various types of equipment and perform manual tasks to manage inventory effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and productive environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and inventory.
  • Transport materials to designated areas for processing or shipping.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and performing cycle counts.
  • Ensure that materials are stored properly, organized, and accessible.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety regulations and wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting and moving materials.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Certification or experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is required.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and material labels.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safety and wearing required PPE.
