We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our warehouse team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and carefully packing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our logistics operations and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Safety is our top priority, and all employees must adhere to strict Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The role involves significant physical activity, including the Lifting of items up to 40 pounds, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate packaging materials.
- Ensure all orders are correctly labeled and documented.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
