Join our bustling distribution center in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets and then carefully pack them for safe transit. This involves navigating the warehouse, identifying correct products, and preparing them for shipment. We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail, who can maintain speed and accuracy in a high-volume environment. You will be trained on our packing procedures and the use of various packing materials to ensure product protection. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential; you will be required to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all established safety guidelines. This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in a similar role within logistics or a warehouse setting is highly advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order fulfillment sheets.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Select appropriate packing materials and ensure items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring easy access to packing supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE, including safety shoes and gloves.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills and a focus on quality. Physical requirements include frequent Lifting, standing, walking, and bending. This role is key to our logistics operations and contributes directly to customer satisfaction.
