We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and timely handling of goods while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. We seek certified and experienced operators who understand the importance of safety protocols and efficient warehouse operations. This role is vital to our supply chain and requires a strong commitment to safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and organize materials in designated storage locations.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse activities as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
This role requires demonstrated skill in operating heavy machinery and a commitment to safety.
