Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role is central to ensuring the efficient flow of products through our distribution network. You will be involved in various warehouse activities, contributing to the successful fulfillment of orders and maintaining inventory accuracy. If you are a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, this logistics position is ideal for you.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of tasks including picking, packing, and sorting merchandise.
  • Load and unload materials and products from trucks and into warehouse storage.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required or provided).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a focus on safety protocols.
  • Follow all instructions regarding the safe handling and movement of goods, including appropriate Lifting techniques.
  • Inspect products for quality and report any damages or discrepancies.
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for different tasks and areas.
  • Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
