We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania distribution center. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, safely transferring materials to and from various warehouse locations, and assisting with inventory management tasks. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is paramount; adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and forklift best practices. You will be an essential part of our logistics team, ensuring the efficient flow of goods throughout the facility. This role involves regular Lifting and requires physical stamina. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas, including storage racks and shipping docks.
- Accurately count and record inventory, assisting with cycle counts and stocktakes.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any damages or malfunctions.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including manual Lifting as required.
- Ensure efficient material flow to support the broader Logistics network.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety guidelines within the warehouse premises.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a clean driving record.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and warehouse machinery.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Excellent knowledge of safe forklift operating procedures and Safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Mandatory use of PPE and commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
