We have an immediate opening for a skilled Picker/Packer in our Washington, D.C. facility. This critical role involves the accurate and efficient retrieval of inventory items and their subsequent preparation for shipment to our valued customers. As a Picker/Packer, you are the frontline ensuring order accuracy and contributing to a seamless customer experience within our logistics network. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational abilities, a sharp eye for detail, and the physical capacity to handle various items. Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or scan order information to locate and retrieve items from warehouse storage.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Pack items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to outgoing packages.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and surrounding area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily picking and packing targets within the logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage frequent Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety.
