We are hiring an Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our supply chain, ensuring that customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a strong work ethic. You will utilize scanning equipment and hand-held devices to locate and retrieve products, ensuring accuracy in every pick. This position demands stamina and the ability to navigate the warehouse effectively. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all team members are required to follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. While the primary focus is picking, some lifting of up to 40 lbs may be required to move or consolidate items. Understanding warehouse layout and product placement is key to success. This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods. Your accuracy and speed directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use scanning devices to track picked items and update inventory.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
- Transport picked items to packing or shipping stations.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Properly use required PPE while performing duties.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Meet established picking performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Stamina for standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
