We are looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility in Tampa, Florida. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics hub. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. You will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on a variety of equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems. Your expertise will be critical in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity within the warehouse. We believe in a proactive approach to maintenance, and you will be integral in implementing and refining our preventive maintenance program. This role demands a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as a dedication to safety protocols. The ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues will be essential. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition, thereby supporting our overall logistics operations. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times when performing duties. Some lifting, up to 60 lbs, may be required for maintenance tasks and equipment handling. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to schedule maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Safely operate machinery for testing and repair purposes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
