Become a vital part of our logistics team as a Picker/Packer in St. Louis, Missouri! We are seeking individuals who are detail-oriented and efficient in fulfilling customer orders. Your primary duties will involve accurately picking items from warehouse shelves, carefully packing them for shipment, and ensuring order accuracy. This role is essential for the timely and correct delivery of goods, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We prioritize safety and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The job requires the ability to work at a steady pace, with physical demands including standing for extended periods and occasional lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Verify order accuracy, checking quantities and item details before sealing packages.
- Apply shipping labels and any required documentation to outbound shipments.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as scanners and pallet jacks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory checks and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing productivity targets.
- Support the overall logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse picking or packing role is a strong asset.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and item numbers accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, move efficiently, and perform lifting tasks up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a team.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Familiarity with logistics operations is beneficial.
