Join our San Diego, California team as a skilled Forklift Operator! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to manage the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, accurate placement of goods, and overall warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining operational flow and supporting our inventory management goals. Your commitment to Safety and efficiency is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move and stack inventory accurately within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with receiving, put-away, and order picking processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations of the facility.
- Assist with tasks requiring Lifting of materials, as needed.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
