Lead our team as a Warehouse Supervisor in our busy Chicago, Illinois facility! We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of Safety. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating workflows, optimizing inventory management, and ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and on time. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive work environment, while also ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve performance goals.
- Develop and implement work schedules and assign tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with management to ensure adequate stock.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in compliance with Safety standards and company policies.
- Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Implement and enforce procedures for accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Conduct regular Safety meetings and ensure all team members are utilizing PPE correctly.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Facilitate efficient logistics and supply chain management within the warehouse.
- Manage tasks involving team members performing moderate to heavy Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage workloads.
- Experience with managing tasks that involve Lifting.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of Safety and accountability.
