Our Orlando, Florida distribution center is seeking a diligent and efficient Order Picker to join our logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly. This role demands speed, precision, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll be working in a dynamic warehouse environment, picking items from various locations to assemble complete orders for shipment. We provide a safe workplace and require adherence to all safety protocols and PPE usage.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and pick items from warehouse shelves using pick lists or handheld scanners.
- Assemble customer orders, ensuring all items are accounted for and correct.
- Package orders appropriately for shipment, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Transport picked orders to designated packing and shipping areas.
- Verify order accuracy against pick tickets before finalizing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with inventory tasks, such as cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Operate material handling equipment like pallet jacks safely.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues with orders to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Contribute to team goals and support overall warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting items up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to safety and proper PPE usage.
