Job Summary:
We are hiring enthusiastic Picker/Packers for our bustling distribution center in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products correctly and on time. You will work with a dedicated team in a dynamic warehouse environment, utilizing various equipment and technology. The ideal candidate will be energetic, precise, and possess a strong work ethic. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Your dedication to accuracy and speed will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick lists.
  • Inspect picked items for damage and ensure quality.
  • Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packing materials.
  • Label packages accurately and prepare them for carrier pickup.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including packing stations.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Report any inventory discrepancies or equipment malfunctions immediately.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations in our logistics hub.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in warehousing, order fulfillment, or a similar role is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to following safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
