Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, stack, and arrange merchandise.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and to shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock placement and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational efficiency.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
