Seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our operations in Boston, Massachusetts. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to timely dispatch are essential. This position is integral to our logistics chain, ensuring our products reach customers reliably and in excellent condition. Safety is a top priority.
Responsibilities:
- Verify shipping orders against packed items for accuracy.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation using our shipping software.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments processed.
- Communicate with internal teams and carriers regarding shipping status and issues.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some Lifting.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and common carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable performing tasks that involve moderate physical exertion, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all Safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
